SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES
Utilize self-contained breathing apparatus with full face piece operated in pressure demand or other positive pressure
mode. Utilize impervious clothing to avoid contact with agent. Isolate fire area. If water must be used, use soft steam
foggers to minimize spread of contamination.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE
(1) ACUTE OVEREXPOSURE
Inhalation, ingestion, or absorption through the skin may result in central nervous system stimulation with symptoms
of headache, nausea, diarrhea, weakness, vomiting, flushing, dry mouth, and in more severe cases, convulsions and
respiratory depression. Moderately irritating to the skin and eyes. Only a small dose of endosulfan may be fatal.
Inhalation may produce irritation of the upper respiratory tract.
(2) CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE
Prolonged or repeated exposure may result in effects as described in acute overexposure.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician. EYE OR SKIN CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at
least 15 minutes. Call a physician. Flush skin with water. Wash clothing before reuse. INGESTION: Induce vomiting
by giving two glasses of water and sticking finger down throat. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Call a physician. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Active ingredients is a central nervous system stimulant and may
cause convulsions and respiratory depression. Consult recommended treatment for chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticide
poisoning.

SECTION 7 - SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS LEAKED OR SPILLED
Isolate area of spill. Wear prescribed protective clothing. Do not touch spilled material. Carefully scoop up into
labeled container and seal for later reuse or disposal. Use sweeping compound to minimize dust and sweep-up
residual. Following clean-up of spill, wash contaminated area with detergent and water or 3-5% caustic solution.
Collect all wash water in containers for disposal. Product is toxic to fish, birds, and other wildlife. Keep out of sewers
and any body of water. Do not contaminate water by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes. Comply with all
applicable governmental regulations concerning spill reporting & handling.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD
Dispose of in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations.

SECTION 9 - SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING & STORING
Store in dry, well-ventilated area. Wash exposed skin surfaces prior to smoking or consuming food or beverage.
Smoking, eating, and drinking should not be permitted where the product is handled or stored. Smoking materials
carried by workers should be protected from contamination. Workers should shower at the end of each work day,
washing hair and entire body. Launder all clothing after each use. Change clothes immediately if material is spilled
heavily upon clothing. The inside of rubber gloves should be inspected regularly for leaks; discard if holes are found.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS
Thoroughly ventilate all transport vehicles prior to unloading.
