UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS
Emits toxic fumes, including ammonia and sulfur trioxide, when heated to decomposition. May form an explosive
mixture when dispersed in air. An explosion hazard will exist if mixed with oxidizers such as potassium chlorate,
potassium nitrate, or potassium nitrite.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES
Wear full protective clothing and use self contained breathing apparatus. Avoid inhalation of fumes and dusts.
Nonessential personnel should be restricted from area of intense smoke. Do not allow water run-off from fire site to
enter nearby streams, ponds, or lakes. Keep containers cooled with water spray.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE
(1) ACUTE OVEREXPOSURE
Ingestion or inhalation of large quantities may cause symptoms of non-specific irritation of the gastrointestinal tract;
nausea, vomiting, cramps, dyspnea, and diarrhea.
(2) CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE
Inhalation of dust may permanently damage the lungs and result in the development of pneumoconiosis, silicosis, or
other respiratory disorders. Ingestion of inhalation may affect the liver, blood, thyroid, uterus, ovaries, and testes.
May produce contact sensitization. Highly allergic individuals should avoid contact.

INGESTION: Call a physician or poison control center. Administer activated charcoal with a large quantity of water.
SKIN OR EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician. Flush
skin with water. Wash clothing before reuse. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists. INHALATION: Remove to
fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Call a physician.

SECTION 7 - SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES


STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS LEAKED OR SPILLED
Clean-up of spills may require personal protective equipment. See Section 8. Eliminate sources of ignition. Sweep-
up or vacuum the material to the original labeled container. Keep spill out of sewers and open bodies of water.
Comply with all applicable governmental regulations concerning spill reporting, handling, and disposal of wastes.

water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

Avoid freezing. Store above 40 degrees F.
