PRIMARY ROUTES OF EXPOSURE AND TARGET ORGANS
Eye and skin contact, ingestion, inhalation
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE
(1) ACUTE OVEREXPOSURE
Eye contact may cause severe irritation with corneal injury. Prolonged skin exposure may cause skin irritation.
Ingestion may produce irritation of the mouth, esophagus, and stomach. Inhalation has been reported to reduce
pulmonary edema. May have neurological effects including vertigo, headache, malaise, and paresthesias. Higher
doses may produce muscle twitching, spasms, followed by profound muscle weakness, and unconsciousness.
Stiffness of the legs has been observed in severely poisoned persons.
(2) CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE
Prolonged exposure may cause skin and eye irritation with corneal injury.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES
EYE OR SKIN CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician.
Flush skin with water. Wash clothing before reuse. INGESTION: Promptly drink milk, egg whites, gelatin solution, or
large quantities of water. Seek medical attention. INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If coughing or difficulty in
breathing develops, evaluate for respiratory tract irritation, bronchitis, or pneumonitis. If not breathing, give artificial
respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician.

Contain spill. Absorb material with dry granules or sand. Place in a sealed, labeled container in a secure area for
