4. First Aid Measures

4.1 Symptoms of Exposure by Route
SWALLOWED
Small amounts ingested incidental to normal handling will have little or no effect.


EYE
Paste in contact with the eye may cause irritation and should be promptly removed by flushing.



SKIN
Prolonged skin contact may cause slight irritation



INHALED
Unlikely to cause adverse effects unless exposed to highly concentrated vapours. (Considered unlikely in any normal circumstances
of use)


4.2 First Aid Instructions
SWALLOWED
Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth clear with water and give two glasses to drink. If symptoms persist seek prompt medical help.




EYE
Immediately: Hold eye open and flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes. While flushing, gently pull upper and lower eyelids
away from eyes and ensure carefully flushed. If symptoms persist seek prompt medical attention.


SKIN
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water for at least 10 minutes. If symptoms persist seek medical
assistance.



INHALED
Remove patient (while wearing SCBA if concentrations are high) to fresh air. Allow to rest. Rinse mouth and nose with water.
Provide artificial respiration if breathing stops. Seek prompt medical attention unless recovery is virtually immediate.


FIRST AID FACILITIES
Provide normal industrial first aid facilities including eye-wash stations and safety showers as appropriate.

5. Fire Fighting Measures
5.1 Flammability and Explosion Hazards
Product is combustible but slow to ignite.


5.2 Hazardous Combustion Products
Thermal decomposition emits CO X, nitric oxides, ammonia , trace amounts of chlorine, phenol, HCN and isocyanate vapour

CO2, dry chemicals, or water. For large fires in warehouse or product areas use water jets or alcohol-resistant foam.

8.3 Personal Protective Equipment
Respiratory Protection
Not usually required where ventilation is good. If vapours are in high concentration, typically in poorly ventilated enclosed areas,
wear respirator fitted with an organic vapour filter to AS 1715 & 1716.
Eye Protection
Not normally required. If mists or splashes are likely wear safety goggles or full face shield to AS 1337.

Gloves
When applying the product wear neoprene, nitrile or butyl rubber gloves to AS 2161.

Clothing
Wear Tyvec or cotton coveralls fastened at the neck and wrists. Supplement with PVA apron if required.

10. Stability and Reactivity
Product is stable in normal circumstances. In contact with incompatibles listed above an exothermic reaction will take place. Contact
with water or high humidity in closed containers may result in pressure increase by formation of CO2 and may result in violent rupture
of the container.

12. Ecological Consideration
Prior to curing the product is regarded as presenting a slight hazard to water. Once cured adverse effects are largely unknown but it is
expected that cured product will be inert. Do not allow product or fire water run-off to enter drains or waterways,

Disposal of waste product and fire water run-off must be in accordance with local regulations. Product is a suitable candidate for
incineration at authorised waste disposal facilities.

14. Transport Information
Legislation under the Dangerous Good Codes of Australia, the IMDG and IATA does not apply to this product.
