Characteristics: Hard substance, non-watersoluble, finished product does not contain volatile
fractions.
Explosion and Fire Safety: At operation temperature rubber is not explosive or self-ignitable and
burns only when exposed to a fire source. Carbonic-acid gas and water released when burned.
Personal Protective Equipment
Insulating gas mask, respirator RPG-37A, protective clothing, rubber boots, gloves, filtering mask
(Type A, M, BFK).
Necessary Measures
General: Clear the dangerous zone from those not concerned, isolate the zone with radius 50 M.
Enter in the zone only in protective clothing and respirator. Fire safety instructions to be followed.
In Case of Fire: Isolate the dangerous zone with radius 50 M. Clear the zone. Do not approach
the burning wagon. Extinguish the fire at minimum distance by fine spray water.
Firing: Use dry sand, earth etc, fire extinguishers marks 鈥淥P鈥? and 鈥淥U鈥?. Main extinguishing
materials are water, sand, earth, chalk, asbestos felt, foam and carbonic-acid extinguishers,
steam, nitrogen.
First Aid: Take the injured into the fresh air, take off clothing which could prevent breathing. In
case of stop of breathing, give artificial respiration until the arrival of ambulance. Give
tranquilizing medicine.
