TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
ROUTE OF ENTRY: Eyes, skin contact, inhalation, ingestion
EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE:
EYE: Can cause severe irritation, redness, tearing and blurred vision.
SKIN: Prolongued or repeated contact can cause moderate irriation, defatting and dermatitis.
INHALATION: Minimal effects below 1000 ppm. Dizziness, drowsiness, and throat irritation at levels above 1000
ppm. Unconsciousness and death possible at levels above 10,000 ppm. Blood pressure depression, cardiac
sensitization, ventricular arrhythmia can result from exposure to near anesthetic levels.
INGESTION: Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Aspiration of material into lungs
can cause chemical pneumonitis.
