PRECAUTIONS
Flammability Combustible - potentially explosive dust when exposed to heat or ignition sources, however given product use and
application the potential is extremely low. Evolves toxic carbon and nitrogen oxides when heated to decomposition.
Reactivity Incompatible with oxidising agents (eg. peroxides) and acids (eg. hydrochloric acid).
Ventilation Do not inhale dust. Use in well ventilated areas. In poorly ventilated areas, mechanical extraction ventilation is
recommended.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
PPE Wear coveralls, dust-proof goggles and PVC or rubber gloves. Where an inhalation risk exists, wear a Class P1
(Particulate) Respirator. In a laboratory situation, wear a laboratory coat.

Eye Hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water. Continue flushing until advised to stop by the
Poisons Information Centre, or for at least 15 minutes.
Inhalation If over exposure occurs, leave area of exposure. If assisting a victim avoid becoming a casualty, wear a Class P1
(Particulate) respirator where an inhalation risk exists. If victim is not breathing apply artificial respiration and seek
urgent medical attention.
Skin Gently flush affected areas with water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.
Ingestion For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 (Australia Wide) or a doctor. If swallowed, do not
induce vomiting.
SAFE HANDLING
Storage Store in cool, dry, well ventilated area, removed from oxidising agents, acids and foodstuffs. Ensure product is
adequately labelled, protected from physical damage and sealed when not in use.
Waste Disposal Ensure product is covered with moist soil to prevent dust generation and dispose of to approved Council landfill.

EMERGENCY
Spillage If spilt or if packages are damaged, collect for later disposal. For large amounts, wear dust-proof goggles,
PVC/rubber gloves, a Class P1 (Particulate) respirator, coveralls and boots. Clear area of all unprotected personnel.
Eliminate heat or ignition sources, cover spill with moist sand or similar, collect and place in sealable containers for
disposal. Avoid generating dust.
Fire and Combustible solid - potentially explosive dust. Evacuate area and contact emergency services. Toxic gases (carbon/
nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons) may be evolved when heated. Remain upwind and notify those downwind of hazard.
Explosion
Wear full protective equipment including Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) when combating fire. Use
waterfog to cool intact containers and nearby storage areas.
Extinguishing Dry agent, carbon dioxide, foam or water fog. Prevent contamination of drains or waterways, absorb runoff with sand
or similar.
