SECTION 4. FIRST AID MEASURES
General advice : Get medical attention immediately if symptoms occur.
Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. If rapid recovery does not occur, obtain
medical attention.
Skin contact : Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with water using
soap if available. If rapid recovery does not occur, obtain
medical attention.
Eye contact : DO NOT DELAY. Flush eye with water. OBTAIN MEDICAL
ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
Ingestion : DO NOT DELAY. Do not induce vomiting. Give nothing by
mouth. OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
Notes to physician
Symptoms : Irritation of the skin, eyes and respiratory tract
Treatment : Treat symptomatically.
SECTION 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Unsuitable extinguishing : Water in a jet.
media
Suitable extinguishing : Alcohol-resistant foam. Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide,
media sand or earth may be used for small fires only.
Specific hazards during fire : Keep adjacent containers cool by spraying with water.
fighting
CAUTION. Combustible. Not classified as flammable but will
burn. Carbon monoxide may be evolved if incomplete
combustion occurs.
Containers exposed to intense heat from fires should be cooled
with water to prevent vapor pressure buildup which could result
in container rupture.
Special protective : Do not enter confined fire space without full bunker gear (helmet
equipment for fire-fighters with face shield, bunker coats, gloves and rubber boots).
including a positive pressure NIOSH approved self-contained
breathing apparatus.

SECTION 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal precautions : Avoid contact with skin, eyes, clothing
Do not breathe fumes, dust, vapour
Environmental precautions : Prevent contamination of soil and water.
Prevent from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers
by using sand, earth, or other appropriate barriers.
Clean-up methods - small : Soak up residue with an absorbent such as clay, sand or other
spillage suitable material; place in non-leaking containers for proper
disposal.
Clean-up methods - large : Remove with vacuum trucks or pump to storage/salvage
spillage vessels.
Shovel and sweep up or use industrial vacuum cleaner.
Flush area with water to remove trace residue.
Transfer to a labelled, sealable container for product recovery or
safe disposal.
Additional advice : Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages
cannot be contained.
In confined spaces at temperatures above 64 掳C, vapour may
form an explosive mixture with air.
See Section 13 for information on disposal.
SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling
Advice on safe handling : Observe all relevant local regulations.
Do not taste or swallow. Do not breathe material. Use only with
adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing
Contaminated leather articles, including shoes, cannot be
decontaminated and should be destroyed to prevent reuse.
Surfaces that are sufficiently hot may ignite even liquid product
in the absence of sparks or flame. Extinguish pilot lights,
cigarettes and turn off other sources of ignition prior to use and
until all vapors are gone. Use explosion-proof ventilation to
prevent vapor accumulation while in use.
Storage
Requirements for storage : Store in accordance with local regulations.
areas and containers
Keep in a bunded area. Keep container tightly closed and in a
