Flammable limits in air by volume LEL: no data : UEL: no data
Extinguishing media Use dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide or water spray. Water or foam may cause frothing.
Special Fire-fighting Procedures Keep people away. Isolate fire area and deny unnecessary entry. Contain firewater run-off if possible. Fire
water run-off, if not contained may cause environmental damage. Burning liquids may be moved by flushing
with water to protect personnel and minimize property damage. Wear complete fire service protective
equipment including full-face MSHA/NIOSH approved self-contained breathing apparatus. Use water to cool
fire-exposed containers. Toxic vapors may be given off in a fire.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards When heated (fire conditions), vapors/decomposition products may be released forming flammable/explosive
mixtures in air. Closed containers may explode when exposed to extreme heat (fire).

SECTION V - REACTIVITY DATA

Stability Stable at typical use temperatures.
Conditions to avoid Avoid excessive heat, flame, or other ignition sources. Product can decompose at elevated temperatures.
Product absorbs carbon dioxide from air. Reaction may form an amine carbamate. Smoke may be generated
depending on vapor pressure of mixture.
Incompatibility (Materials to avoid) Avoid contact with oxidizing materials. Avoid contact with metals such as copper. Copper alloys. Avoid
contact with acids, acrylates, halogenated organic ketones.
Hazardous Decomposition or Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, aldehydes, nitrogen oxides. Other toxic fumes may be emitted when
Byproducts burned.

Hazardous Polymerization Will not occur.

SECTION VI - HEALTH HAZARD DATA
Health risks and symptoms of exposure
Inhalation May cause respiratory sensitization. Excessive exposure may cause irritation to upper respiratory tract.
Prolonged and / or repeated contact to high concentration of vapor may result in central nervous system (CNS)
effects and possible cardiovascular collapse.
Skin Contact May cause severe skin burns. Skin contact can result in severe irritation which when accentuated by sunlight
may result in a phototoxic skin reaction. Can cause allergic skin reactions.
Eye Contact May cause severe pain. May cause severe irritation with corneal injury, which may result in permanent
impairment of vision, even blindness.
Skin Absorption No data
Ingestion May cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulceration. May cause burns to mouth and throat. May cause nausea,
vomiting, abdominal pain, and in extreme cases cardiovascular involvement.

Health hazards (acute & chronic):
This product contains coal tar pitch. IARC monographs (volume 35) states that there is sufficient evidence that coal tar pitches are
carcinogenic in humans. Additionally, there is sufficient evidence that occupational exposure to coal tars as it occurs during the
destructive distillation of coal is casually associated with the occurrence of skin cancers in humans.
Persons with a history of liver, kidney, skin or respiratory disease or exposure to materials harmful to these systems are at a greater
than normal risk of developing adverse health effects when working with this product.

Medical conditions generally aggravated by exposure: Prolonged and/or repeated skin contact may cause skin disorder. Prolonged
and/or repeated inhalation may cause respiratory difficulties, central nervous system (CNS) effects and possible cardiovascular
collapse.

Emergency & First Aid Procedures
Eyes Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes. Keep eyelids open. Consult a physician
immediately.

Ingestion If victim is conscious and alert, give 1 鈥? 2glasses of water or milk. Get medical help immediately. Keep
MSDS handy to help the physician.

SECTION VII - SAFE HANDLING & USE INFORMATION
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: Absorb material with inert absorbent such as clay,
dirt, millsorb and sand. Shovel into dry containers and cover. Clean up residual with non-combustible absorbent material and wash
with water. Contain runoff water from going into sewer. Label the waste container properly.

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD. Dispose in accordance to federal, state or local rules and regulations.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORING: Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapors, mists or
fumes. Observe good personal hygiene practices and recommended procedures. Application of certain protective creams (sunscreens
for coal tar products) before working/several times during work may be beneficial. Keep in closed, labeled container within a cool
(well shaded), dry ventilated area. Protect from physical damage. Keep containers closed when material is not in use. Maintain good
housekeeping. Avoid sources of ignition such as heat, flame, spark etc.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS: DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Wash exposed areas promptly and
thoroughly after skin contact and before eating, drinking, and using tobacco products or rest rooms. Read MSDS thoroughly before
using the product.

SECTION VIII - CONTROL MEASURES/PROTECTION INFORMATION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Wear MSHA/NIOSH approved organic vapor or charcoal filtered cartridge respirator or positive
pressure supplied air respirator with full facepiece or an air-supplied hood.

VENTILATION: Use only adequate ventilation. Provide sufficient general/local exhaust ventilation to control inhalation exposures.
Local exhaust is necessary for use in enclosed or confined spaces.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Nitrile, neoprene, and butyl rubber gloves.

EYE PROTECTION: Chemical tight goggles, full faceshield in addition if splashing is possible.

OTHER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING OR EQUIPMENT: WORK/HYGIENIC PRACTICES: Eyewash station and safety
showers in the work area. Emergency safety plans if regulations require. Proper training of the usage and application of the products.
Wear impervious protective garments such as head/neck cover, aprons, jackets, pants, coveralls, boots, etc. Remove contaminated
clothing immediately. Wash skin area with soap and water, and launder clothing before reuse. Contaminated leather items, such as
shoes, belts and watchbands should be removed and destroyed.
