brain and nervous system damage. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents may
be harmful or fatal.

IV. FIRST-AID MEASURES
Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, have a trained individual administer
Inhalation:
oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration and have a trained individual
administer oxygen. Get medical attention immediately
Use an eye wash to remove a chemical from your eye regardless of the level of
Eyes:
hazard. Flush the affected eye for at least twenty minutes. Tilt the head to prevent
chemical from transferring to the uncontaminated eye. Seek medical advice after
flushing.Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes. Get
immediate medical attention. Hold eyelids apart periodically while flushing.
Wash with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Skin Contact:
Seek medical attention. If individual is drowsy or unconscious, do not give

Hazards: Styrene vapors may form explosive mixtures with air.

This polyester is one part of a two-part system of traffic safety paints. In
use, this polyester is combined with small amounts of an organic peroxide
to produce rapidly cured paint films.

Organic peroxides are unstable in the presence of heat or contaminants,
such as strong acids, strong alkalies, strong oxiders, acetone and reducing
agents. Handle these peroxides with strict attention to the peroxide
manufacturer's safety instructions.

VI. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Small Spill: Eliminate all sources of ignition such as flares, flames, pilot lights, and sparks. Absorb liquid on
vermiculite, floor absorbent, or other absorbent material.

Large Spill: Eliminate all ignition sources (flares, flames including pilot lights, electrical sparks). Persons not
wearing protective equipment should be excluded from area of spill until clean-up has been completed. Stop spill at
source. Prevent from entering bare ground, drains, sewers, streams or other bodies of water. Prevent from spreading.
Pump or vacuum-transfer spilled product for recovery. Absorb unrecoverable product. Transfer contaminated
absorbent, soil and other materials to containers for disposal. Prevent run-off to bare ground, sewers, streams or other
bodies of water. If run-off occurs, notify proper authorities as required that a spill has occurred.

VII. HANDLING AND STORAGE

75Y-D015
Handling/Storage: Containers of this material may be hazardous when emptied. Since emptied containers retain
product residues (vapor, liquid, and/or solid), all hazard precautions given in the data sheet must be observed. All
five-gallon pails and larger metal containers, including tank cars and tank trucks, should be grounded and/or bonded
when material is transferred. Emergency eyewash fountains and safety showers should be available in the
immediate vicinity of potential exposure.

VIII. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Provide sufficient general and/or local exhaust ventilation to maintain exposure
Engineering Measures:
below TLV(s).
If workplace exposure limit(s) of product or any component is exceeded,
Respiratory Protection:
a NIOSH/MSHA approved air supplied respirator is advised in absence of proper
environmental control. OSHA regulations also permit other NIOSH/MSHA
respirators under specified conditions. Engineering or administrative controls
should be implemented to reduce exposure.
Wear safety glasses when handling this product.
Eye Protection:
Chemically resistant gloves
