SECTION 5 - ENVIRONMENTAL AND DISPOSAL INFORMATION
Spill: Remove spillage by absorbing in sand, vermiculite, sawdust, or absorbent sweeping
compound. For small spills, rubbing alcohol may be used. Dike to prevent entry into
water system.

Disposal: Use approved incineration in accordance with federal, state and local environmental
regulations. Material must be disposed of in approved landfill.

SECTION 6 - HEALTH AND FIRST AID INFORMATION

Routes of Entry

Inhalation: Remove victim to uncontaminated area, administer oxygen if necessary. Seek medical
attention..
Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothes and wash affected areas with soap and water. Seek medical
attention.
Ingestion: DO NOT Induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.


EFFECTS OF OVER EXPOSURE

Acute: Excessive exposure may result in anesthetic or narcotic effects. Upper respiratory
irritation.
Chronic: Repeated, excessive exposure may cause liver or kidney damage. Epidemiology data is
inadequate in substantiating that styrene is a human carcinogen.

Existing Health Conditions: Persons with existing liver or kidney ailment.

SECTION 7 - SPECIAL HANDLING & STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
Should be stored in a ventilated storage area between 65-85 掳 F. Avoid excessive temperatures. Do not
store in direct sunlight. Keep away from oxidizing agents and open flame.

SECTION 8 - SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

Respiratory Protection: Use NIOSH approved respirator.
Ventilation: Use local exhaust to maintain concentration below the PEL.
Eye Protection: Fitted chemical goggles, or safety glasses.
Personal Protection: Rubber gloves, boots and rubber apron to avoid skin contact. Contaminated
clothing or equipment should be cleaned or disposed of, after use.
Hygienic Practices: Educate and train employees on safe use of product. Shower and eye wash
station should be available.
