3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
This material is classified as toxic (LD50 (oral rat) 50 - 200mg/kg). It is a
positive eye irritant and a mild skin irritant. Animal tests indicate that it is an
extreme skin senitizer.
This material is classified as being highly flammable and is readily ignitable.
In the form supplied (green) it does not possess explosive properties. Users
should however note that the red form has been reported as being explosive
following mechanical shock. 聽

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Over-exposure to this material may produce the following symptoms -
First Aid
Inhalation : probable irritation of the respiratory tract. Ingestion : nausea and
vomiting with possible abdominal pain and diarrhoea. Eye contact : severe
pain and blurred vision with possible corneal damage. Skin contact : possible
redness and irritation with risk of sensitisation. 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽

Remove from exposure and allow to rest in fresh air. Seek medical attention

urgently.
Rinse mouth with water, give milk or water to drink. Seek medical attention

urgently.
Irrigate with clean water or isotonic saline for 15 minutes. Seek medical

Remove contaminated clothing, wash skin with soap and water. Seek

medical attention if symptoms are apparent.


5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
This material is flammable and if involved in a fire will decompose with the
possible production of toxic and flammable gases. The residue, ash or char
left after a fire may have catalytic properties and may promote the re-ignition
of flammable liquids or vapours.

If containers of this material are exposed to the heat of a fire they should be
kept cool by water spray. Fire fighters should wear protective clothing and
selfcontained breathing apparatus. Use any extinguishing agents appropriate
to the surrounding fire. 聽 聽
