3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
The salt is mildly irritating to the skin and is a positive eye irritant. There is no
evidence that iridium salts give rise to an allergy problem similar to that
observed with platinum-halogeno complexes. In general, iridium salts are
regarded as being less toxic than salts of platinum, palladium or osmium.
Iridium metal is practically non-toxic. Toxic fumes will be evolved on heating. 聽
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Over-exposure may produce the following symptoms -

Inhalation - irritation of the respiratory tract, producing coughing.
Ingestion - abdominal pain.
Eye contact - redness, irritation, blurred vision and pain.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
