Harmful if swallowed.
Causes eye and skin irritation.
Combustible.

May cause liver and kidney damage.
May cause red blood cell damage.

Potential Health Effects, Skin
Brief contact is not irritating. Effects may be delayed. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause discomfort and local
redness.

Skin absorption effects may include those described for swallowing. Prolonged or widespread contact may result in the
absorption of potentially harmful amounts of material.

Potential Health Effects, Eye
Excess redness and swelling of the conjunctiva may occur. Causes irritation, experienced as stinging and discomfort or
pain.

Potential Health Effects, Inhalation
Mist or spray causes irritation of the respiratory tract, experienced as nasal discomfort and discharge, with chest pain and
coughing. May produce signs and symptoms of toxicity similar to those described for swallowing.

Potential Health Effects, Ingestion
Slightly toxic. May cause headache, dizziness, incoordination, nausea, diarrhea, and general weakness. Ingestion may

Effects of Long-Term (Chronic) Exposure
Repeated overexposure may cause red blood cell hemolysis, leading to possible kidney and liver damage.

4 FIRST AID MEASURES
Skin
Wash affected areas with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. If irritation persists or if contact has been
prolonged, obtain medical attention.

Eye
Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, keep eyelids open.
Obtain medical attention if discomfort persists.

Inhalation
Remove to fresh air.

Ingestion
If patient is fully conscious, give two glasses of water, induce vomiting. This should be done only by medical or experienced
first-aid personnel. Obtain medical attention.

Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure
Skin contact may aggravate an existing dermatitis.

Notes to Physician
There is no specific antidote. Treatment of overexposure should be directed at control of the symptoms and the clinical
condition.

5 FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Hazardous Combustion Products
Burning can produce the following products: Carbon monoxide and/or carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide is highly toxic if
inhaled; carbon dioxide in sufficient concentrations can act as an asphyxiant.

Extinguishing Media
Apply alcohol-type or all-purpose-type foam by manufacturer's recommended techniques for large fires. Use carbon dioxide
or dry chemical media for small fires.

Basic Fire Fighting Procedures
Do not direct a solid stream of water or foam into hot, burning pools; this may cause frothing and increase fire intensity. Use
self contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.

Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards
Containers exposed to intense heat should be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build-up that could result in
container rupture. Container areas exposed to direct flame should be cooled with water to prevent weakening of container
structure. This material may produce a floating fire hazard in extreme fire conditions.

PROCESS HAZARD: Sudden release of hot organic chemical vapors or mists from process equipment operating at
elevated temperature and pressure, or sudden ingress of air into hot equipment under a vacuum, may result in ignitions
without the presence of obvious ignition sources. Published "auto ignition" or "ignition" temperature values cannot be
treated as safe operating temperatures in chemical processes without analysis of the actual process conditions. Any use of
this product in elevated-temperature processes should be thoroughly evaluated to establish and maintain safe operating
conditions.

Environmental Precautions
This product may be toxic to fish; avoid discharge to natural waters.

Spill or Leak Procedure
Small spills can be flushed with large amounts of water; larger spills should be collected for disposal. Wear suitable
protective equipment.

7 HANDLING & STORAGE
Handling
Avoid breathing vapors or mist. Do not get in eyes, on skin, on clothing. Do not take internally. Keep away from heat,
sparks and open flames. Keep container tightly closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Storage

Ventilation
General (mechanical) room ventilation is expected to be satisfactory where this product is stored and handled in closed
equipment. Special, local ventilation is needed at points where vapors can be expected to escape to the work place air.

8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

temperature in the presence of strong base, acid or strong oxidizing agents. Strongly exothermic decompositions may
occur under such conditions. Chemical processing operations involving glycol ether acetates with strong bases, acids, or
strong oxidizing agents should be carefully reviewed for safety and stability.
