Ingestion: Harmful or FATAL is swallowed. Inhalation: Harmful if inhaled. May cause respiratory burns, dizziness and loss of conciseness.

FIRST AID

Eyes: Flush out immediately for at least 20 minutes with running water and seek medical attention. Washing eyes within one minute is essential to
minimizing eye damage. Hold eyelids apart to ensure flushing of the entire surface. Advise of strong acid and HF contact.

Skin: Immediately flush skin with plenty of clean running water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Then as soon
as possible soak area in or contact area with an iced solution of Zephiran (0.13%). Call a physician at once. Advise of strong acid and HF contact.

Ingestion: If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Give large quantities of water or milk. If vomiting occurs, keep airways clean. Never give
anything by mouth to and unconscious person. Seek medical attention. Advise of strong acid and HF ingestion.

SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

Steps to Contain:

Eliminate all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in immediate area). Stop leaks if you can do it without risk. Do not touch damaged
containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing (rubber boots, gloves and self contained acid fume resistant breathing
apparatus). Carefully add lime or sodium carbonate to neutralize acid. Then contain spills with dry earth, sand or other non-combustible material and
transfer to containers for proper disposal. Sweep up powder spills and transfer to containers. Dispose of in an approved landfill in accordance with all
local state and federal regulations.

needed for most applications when working with the full strength material, where the TLV of HF is exceeded.
Eye: Chemical goggles.
GLOVES: Rubber gloves covering forearms.
Comments: Full face shield, rubber apron, and rubber boots.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Storage: Keep in a well ventilated cool, dry place.
Handling: Before handling prepare a dilute aqueous solution of ZEPHIRAN, available from most drug stores (0.13%, 1 part ZEPHIRAN to 750 parts
water). For emergency First Aid, if needed. Do not add to hypochlorite bleaches, chlorine sanitizers, or chlorinated cleaners as they liberate toxic
corrosive chlorine gas. Do not stack or palletize over two high.
