3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

Toxicity: EYE: This material can cause severe eye irritation
redness, tearing or blurred vision.
SKIN: This product may cause skin irritation. This
material may cause skin irritation. Prolonged or
repeated contact may cause redness, burning,
defatting or dermatitis. This product is not known
to be a skin sensitizer. Components of this
product can be absorbed through the skin in toxic
amounts.
INHALATION: This material may cause nasal or
respiratory irritation. Symptoms include central
nervous system depression characterized by
headache, dizziness, fatigue, loss of coordination
nausea, unconciousness or even asphyxiation.
INGESTION: Can cause gastrointestinal irritation,
nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Aspiration of
material into lungs (during swallowing or
vomiting) can cause chemical pneumonitis which can
be fatal.
CHRONIC HAZARDS: Components of this product have
been found to cause the following in laboratory
animals: CNS damage, Liver abnormalities, Kidney
damage, Eye damage, Lung damage, Spleen damage,
Brain damage, Anemia, Blood changes. Components
of this product have been suggested as a cause of
liver abnormalities, eye and CNS damage in humans.
Components of this product have been suggested as
a cause of cardiac abnormalities and CNS damage in

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Ingestion: If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Keep head
below hips. Get immediate medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure. Restore breathing. Keep
warm and quiet. Notify a physician.
Skin Contact: Remove from skin using soap and water. Remove and
launder contaminated clothing.
Eye Contact: Flush immediatley with copious quantities of
running water for at least 15 minutes. Take to a
physician for definitive medical treatment.

shield and positive pressure mode to protect
firefighters from hazardous combustion products.

Explosion Hazards: Product is flammable and may be ignited by heat,
flame, sparks or static discharge. Product vapors
are heavier than air and may travel along floor to
be ignited (by smoking, heaters, electric motors,
pilot lights, etc.) at locations distant from
material handling point. Closed containers may
explode when exposed to extreme heat.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Steps to be taken in case
of spill or leak: Remove all sources of ignition (flames, hot
surfaces, and electrical, static or frictional
sparks. Avoid breathing vapors. Dike area to
prevent material from entering drains or sewers.
Remove with inert absorbent.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Safe Storage: Do not store above 120掳F. Keep containers tightly
closed. Store large quantities in buildings
designed to comply with OSHA 1910.106.

Handling: Keep away from open flame. Warnings apply to
empty containers.

Skin: Gloves made of impervious material are recommended
for prolonged or repeated contact with this
product.
Ventilation: Provide local exhaust ventilation/general dilution
in volume and pattern to keep TLV and LEL of most
hazardous ingredient below limits. Heavy solvent
vapors should be removed from lower levels of
area.

Respiratory In open areas use NIOSH approved mechanical
respirator to remove solid airborne particles of
overspray during spray application. In restricted
ventilation areas use NIOSH approved chemical and
mechanical filters designed to remove a
combination of particulate and vapor. In confined
areas use NIOSH approved air line type respirator
or hood.
