Appearance and Odor: Milky white liquid with mild ammonia odor.
Primary Health Hazards: Corrosive. Irritation to eyes and skin. Direct contact with the liquid can be
severely irritating to the skin and may result in redness, swelling, burns, and skin damage. Prolonged
eye contact may cause corneal damage, eye burns, and irreversible damage.
Primary Route(s) of Exposure:
Ingestion: Not a likely source of exposure.
Skin: Corrosive, strong irritant
Inhalation: While not a primary route of exposure, harmful contamination of the air will be reached
rather slowly by evaporation only. Spraying or dispersing liquid may create hazardous levels of
material. Vapors or mist may cause severe irritation.
Eye: Strong Irritant, contact with liquid, mist or vapors may cause burning, tearing, redness, and
swelling.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Skin contact may aggravate a pre-existing
dermatitis (skin condition). Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause skin sensitization.
Over-exposure to vapor, dust, or mist may aggravate existing respiratory conditions, such as asthma
or bronchitis. Repeated over-exposure may aggravate existing liver or kidney disease. Dermatitis,
liver, and kidney diseases.

OSHA Regulated: Not Listed

4. Emergency and First-Aid Procedures

Ingestion: If swallowed, give two glasses of water (pint/0.5 liter) if victim completely conscious/alert. Do
not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Seek medical attention if
symptoms develop. Provide copy of MSDS to medical personnel.
Eye Contact: Flush with water to remove. Seek medical attention if irritation or discomfort persists.
Skin Contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with mild soap and water. Seek
medical assistance if irritation or discomfort persists. Provide copy of MSDS to medical personnel.
Skin Absorption: Not expected to occur. Wash with soap and water.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Seek medical assistance if persistent irritation, severe coughing, or
breathing difficulty occurs. Provide copy of MSDS to medical personnel.
Note to Physician: Treatment of over-exposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the
clinical condition of the patient.

Special Firefighting Procedures: Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing should be
worn in chemical fires. Water may be ineffective, serving only to spread product, but may be used to
cool containers.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: It is recommended that containers be tightly closed and isolated
from heat, electrical equipment and flame. A closed container could possibly explode when exposed
to extreme heat.

6. Accidental Release Measures

Steps to be Taken In Case Material Is Released or Spilled: Dike and contain spill with absorbent
material such as clay or other commercially available material. Place in container for disposal. Wear
safety glasses and chemical resistant gloves to minimize exposure.

7. Handling and Storage

Precautions to be Taken In Handling and Storage: Follow standard industrial practices when handling
this product or empty containers. Avoid getting product on skin, eyes, or clothing. If contact with the
product occurs, remove effected clothing and wash with soap and water. Store in a cool, dry, well
ventilated area away from incompatible materials. Avoid excessive hot or cold temperatures. Keep
containers tightly closed when not in use.

8. Exposure Control Measures, Personal Protection

Personal Protective Equipment:
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION 鈥? Under normal conditions of use, respiratory protection is not required.
If a fog or mist is produced, use NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator with organic vapor absorbing
cartridges. The respirator program must comply with OSHA and ANSI standards.
EYE PROTECTION 鈥? Chemical safety glasses recommended.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES 鈥? Chemically resistant gloves are recommended.
OTHER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING OR EQUIPMENT 鈥? Eye wash station.
WORK/HYGIENE PRACTICES 鈥? Wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, and at the end of the
shift.
Ventilation:
LOCAL EXHAUST 鈥? If handling results in mist or aerosols local exhaust ventilation may be needed so
that exposure limits are met.
MECHANICAL (GENERAL) 鈥? Provide general ventilation in processing and storage areas so that
exposure limits are met.
SPECIAL 鈥? None
