HEALTH HAZARDS
May be irritating to eyes and mucous membranes. Toxicity low: LD 50 (oral-rat) 5.0 g/kg.
Ingestion or inhalation may cause flushing, headache, dizziness, mental depression, nausea,
vomiting, narcosis and coma. Avg. LD human 100-250 ml. OSHA PEL/ACGIH TLV TWA air: 400 ppm
DTLVS; STEL 500 ppm. No evidence of carcinogenicity.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear goggles and rubber gloves while handling. Store away
from oxidizers, heat and flame.
FIRST AID
Wash skin and eyes thoroughly with water after contact. Inhalation: remove to fresh air, give
oxygen if breathing is difficult, administer artificial respiration if breathing has stopped.
If swallowed, give water or milk and induce vomiting. Call a physician.
SPILLS & LEAKS
Ventilate area. Wash up with water. Disposal to incinerator or to sanitary drain (for very
small spills only), check local regulations.
