Colorless to pale yellow liquid. Ethereal odor.
REACTIVITY & CONDITIONS TO AVOID
Stable. Avoid excess heat. Incompatible with halogenated organics, ketones, aldehydes, alkaline
earth metals and alkali metals. Stability deteriorates with heat, light and long standing. May
react with air to form explosive peroxide. Reacts with glass and many plastics.
FIRE HAZARDS
Highly flammable. Keep containers cool with water spray. Will emit toxic fumes when heated to
decomposition. Firefighters wear SCBA. NFPA # 2-3-1.

Corrosive, causes chemical burns to eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. May cause kidney damage

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Use with suitable respirator or in a well ventilated area. Wear goggles, gloves and full
protective clothing while handling. Do not retain opened containers for long periods of time.
Check for peroxides prior to concentration or evaporation. Store in well sealed Teflon庐 bottles
with flammable materials.
FIRST AID
Wash contact area thoroughly with soap and water. Flush eyes immediately with water for 15
minutes. DO NOT rub or keep eyes closed. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Give 2-4 cups
of water or milk to drink and get immediate medical attention. If inhaled, remove to fresh air.
Give oxygen if breathing is difficult. DO NOT give mouth-to-mouth respiration. If breathing
stops, give artificial respiration using mask, bag or other mechanical device. Get immediate
medical attention.
SPILLS & LEAKS
Isolate spill. Ventilate area. Remove all ignition sources. Absorb with dry sand or other inert
material. Disposal to incinerator or other suitable hazardous waste method.
