3. Hazards Identification - Continued
Inhalation Hazards
May cause nose, throat, and lung irritation. May cause effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, decrease in motor
functions, narcosis or other central nervous system effects.

4. First Aid Measures
Eye
In case of contact, hold eyelids apart and immediately flush eyes with plenty of tepid water for at least 15 minutes.
Get medical attention immediately if irritation develops and persists.
Skin
In case of contact, immediately flush skin with soap and plenty of tepid water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical
attention immediately if irritation (redness, rash, blistering) develops and persists.
Ingestion
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Seek medical attention
immediately.
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Call a physician or a poison control center
immediately.

5. Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: 9 掳F -13 掳C
Autoignition Point: 936 掳F 501 掳C
Lower Explosive Limit: 3.1
Upper Explosive Limit: 16
Fire And Explosion Hazards
Protect against electrostatic charge. Possible formation of explosive mixtures air/vapor. Above flash point,
vapor-air mixtures are explosive within flammable limits noted above. Vapors may flow along surfaces to distant
ignition sources and flash back. Sealed containers may rupture when heated.
Extinguishing Media
In case of fire, use dry chemical, alcohol foam or carbon dioxide. Water may be ineffective. Water spray may be
used to keep fire exposed container. Water may be used to flush spills away from exposures and to dilute spills
to non-flammable mixtures.
Fire Fighting Instructions
In the event of a fire, firefighters should wear full protective clothing and NIOSH-approved self-contained
breathing apparatus with a full facepiece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode.

6. Accidental Release Measures
Extinguish all sources of ignition. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Contain spill and collect with
absorbent material and transfer into suitable containers. Ventilate enclosed area. Keep spills away from sewers and
open bodies of water.

7. Handling And Storage
Handling And Storage Precautions
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep containers tightly closed. Not for
internal consumption.
Handling Precautions
Keep away from sources of ignition. Vapors may form an explosive mixture with air. Take precautionary
measures against electrostatic loading.

7. Handling And Storage - Continued
Storage Precautions
Store containers tightly sealed and moisture-proof in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Take precautionary
measures against electro static charge. Containers should be bonded and grounded for transfers to avoid static.
Keep away from heat, sparks, flame, and other sources of ignition (i.e., pilot lights, electric motors and static
electricity). Containers of this material may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues (vapors,
liquid); observe all warnings and precautions for the product.
Work/Hygienic Practices
Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
Engineering Controls
Use of a system of local and/or general exhaust is recommended to keep employee below applicable expsoure
limits. Refer to the current edition of "Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice" published by
the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists for information on the design, installation, use,
and maintenance of exhaust systems.
Eye/Face Protection
Faceshield over safety glasses or goggles where splashing is possible.
Skin Protection
Chemical-resistant gloves. Lab coat or other work clothing to prevent skin exposure (Long sleeve shirt and long
pants). Launder before reuse.
Respiratory Protection
A respirator protection program that meets 29 CFR 1910.134 requirement must be followed whenever workplace
conditions warrant a respirator's use. In areas where the Permissible Expsosure Limits are exceeded, use a
properly fitted NIOSH-approved respirator.
Other/General Protection
Wash thoroughly after handling.
