PRODUCT : LEPAGE INSTANT SUPER GLUE
SECTION 06: TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
SKIN ABSORPTION............May be absorbed by the skin.
EYE CONTACT................Vapours are lachrymatory. On contact, will bond eyelids together.
Cyanoacrylates will not bond to the eye but may cause corneal scratching.
INHALATION.................Irritating to mucous membranes and eyes. Vapour exposures of 40-60 ppm in
air is very objectionable, producing lacrimation, rhinorrhea, and blurred
vision. Lower concentrations, near the TLV, caused irritation of the eyes
and nose. Vapours may be irritating to respiratory system and nasal
passages
INGESTION..................Immediately bonds the mouth. It is almost impossible to swallow
cyanoacrylate. The adhesive solidifies and adheres in the mouth.
EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE........Refer to route of entry.
EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE......May aggravate existing eye, skin, and lung conditions.

SECTION 07: PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
GLOVES/ TYPE...............Polyethylene or PVC with disposible polyethylene liners. Do not wear
rubber or cloth gloves.
RESPIRATORY/TYPE...........Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapour or mists. Use a NIOSH/MSHA
approved respirator whenever mist or spray is generated.
EYE/TYPE...................Safety glasses, goggles or face shield to protect against splashing.
FOOTWEAR/TYPE..............Standard work shoes.
CLOTHING/TYPE..............Standard work clothes.
VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS.........Use adequate local exhaust ventilation.
LEAK/SPILL.......................SMALL SPILLS: Wipe up with cloth. Immediately soak cloth with water to
polymerize the adhesive. Caution! Cloth containing adhesive may undergo
autoignition if not soaked with water. LARGE SPILLS: Flood area with
water. When cured, remove film with a scraper. Wear NIOSH approved
respirator for organic vapours if needed, and protective clothing.
WASTE DISPOSAL...................In accordance with municipal, provincial and federal regulations. Since
emptied container retains product residues all labelled hazard precautions
must be observed.
HANDLING PROCEDURES AND..........Use adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid skin and eye
EQUIPMENT contact. Wear chemical splash goggles, gloves, and protective clothing.
Wash thoroughly after handling.
STORAGE NEEDS....................Avoid contact with moisture. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store in a cool
area, away from all sources of heat and ignition.
SPECIAL SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS....Not regulated
SECTION 08: FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT......................Immediately flush with water for a minimum of 15 minutes holding lids
apart to ensure flushing of entire surface. Washing within 1 minute is
essential to achieve maximum effectiveness. Seek medical attention
immediately. Cured adhesive will not bond well to surface of eye, but
corneal damage from abrasion may result. Do not wear contact lenses when
working with this material.
INGESTION........................Immediate bonding of mouth will occur. Get immediate medical attention
INHALATION.......................Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing
has stopped, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT.....................Wash affected area(s) thoroughly with soap and water. Discard footwear
that has been contaminated on the inner surface. Do not remove material
from skin. Obtain medical assistance for removal.
