SECTION 06: TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

ROUTE OF ENTRY:
SKIN CONTACT...............May cause mild irritation. Can cause drying and defatting of skin leading
to irritation and dermatitis. Especially on prolonged contact.
SKIN ABSORPTION............Repeated or prolonged overexposure may cause sensitization.
EYE CONTACT................Moderate irritant. May cause reversible corneal injury.
INHALATION, ACUTE :..............May cause irritation of respiratory tract. Intoxicant. Overexposure shown
by headache, dizziness and confusion to coma. Material aspirated into
lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis.
INGESTION..................May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract following ingestion of
large amounts. Symptoms include nausea, abdominal pain and possible
collapse.
EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE........Possible skin, eye, and respiratory tract irritation.
EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE......This product contains xylenes. High exposure to xylenes in some animal
studies have been reported to cause health effects on the developing
embryo/fetus. The significance of these findings to humans has not been
determined. Deliberate and repeated inhalation of concentrated solvent
vapors may cause permanent neurological damage. Preexisting pulmonary and
dermatological disorders may be aggravated by exposure to hazardous
components.
