SECTION 06: TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

SKIN CONTACT...............Can cause drying and defatting of skin leading to irritation and
dermatitis. May cause irritation, especially on prolonged contact.
SKIN ABSORPTION............May be absorbed by the skin.
EYE CONTACT................Irritating, and may injure eye tissue if not removed promptly. Vapours
cause tearing. May cause moderate to severe irritation. Causes corneal
damage.
INHALATION.................High vapour concentrations are irritating to the eyes and the respiratory
tract. May cause headaches and dizziness; are anaesthetic. May affect
central nervous system.
INGESTION..................Vomiting presents an aspiration hazard and may result in chemical
pneumonia, pulmonary edema or hemorrhage. Can cause gastro-intestinal
irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Product may be toxic if
ingested.

STORAGE NEEDS....................Avoid static electricity - ground containers when transferring product.
Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Store in a closed container
away from children. Store in a cool area, away from all sources of heat
and ignition.
SPECIAL SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS....Ship in accordance with applicable Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
regulations. Protect against physical damage.

SECTION 08: FIRST AID MEASURES

EYE CONTACT......................Immediately flush with water for a minimum of 15 minutes holding lids
apart to ensure flushing of entire surface. Washing within 1 minute is
essential to achieve maximum effectiveness.
INGESTION........................Dilute with large quantities of water or milk. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get
immediate medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person.
INHALATION.......................Remove victim to fresh air. If not breathing qualified personnel should
administer artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT.....................Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with water and soap. Seek
medical attention if irritation occurs or persists.
