NATURE OF HAZARD



INHALATION: Some dust may be evident. Nuisance dust. ACGIH (TLV) - 10 mg./M³.



EYE CONTACT: Mechanical irritation may result from particular matter in contact with eyes.



SKIN CONTACT: No effect on skin from contamination.



INGESTION, ACUTE: Non toxic. Ingestion may result in mechanical irritation of digestive tract.



INGESTION, CHRONIC: Refer to acute ingestion.

SECTION 5 - FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION: If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air.



EYE CONTACT: Flush eye(s) with water for at least 15 minutes while forcibly holding eyelids apart to ensure complete

irrigation of all eye and lid tissue. If particular matter not flushed out, seek medical attention.



SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water.



INGESTION: Not harmful if walnut shells ingested.



SECTION 6 - PREVENTIVE MEASURES

PERSONAL PROTECTION: Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling. An approved disposable dust mask (For

nuisance dust) should also be worn when handling walnut shell aggregate.



ENGINEERING CONTROLS: General ventilation or local exhaust for nuisance dust.



HANDLING, STORAGE AND SHIPPING: Store in dry location. Do not allow walnut shell aggregate to get wet.



SPILL CONTROL AND DISPOSAL: Sweep up using dust retarding compound. Dispose of as normal waste. Not

hazardous.



LAND SPILL: Non Hazardous.



WATER SPILL: Non Hazardous.
