SECTION 4 - TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
INHALATION: Prolonged exposure to high vapour concentration can cause headache, nausea, dizziness and central
nervous system depression. In rare cases, may sensitive heart muscles causing heart arrhythmia.
EYE CONTACT: Irritating, but will not injure eye tissue.
SKIN CONTACT: Frequent or prolonged contact may irritate the skin. Low toxicity. Prolonged or repeated contact
can cause defatting dermatitis.
INGESTION: Small amounts of product drawn into the lungs from swallowing or vomiting may cause severe health
effects. (e.g. bronchopneumonia or pulmonary edema).
OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMIT: ACGIH Recommends: TLV - 100 ppm (525 mg/M3) (Odourless Mineral
Spirits).

SECTION 5 - FIRST AID MEASURES
INHALATION: Remove victim from area. Administer artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. See physician if
artificial respiration is required.
EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes holding eyelids open. If irritation persists see
physician.
SKIN CONTACT: Flush with large amounts of water. Use soap if available. If irritation persists see physician.
INGESTION: If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING!!!. Get immediate medical attention.
SECTION 6 - PREVENTIVE MEASURES
PERSONAL PROTECTION: The section of personal protective equipment varies depending upon conditions of
use.
EYE AND FACE: Full face shield should be used when spraying. Brush application will require safety glasses with
side shields.
SKIN: Wear neoprene or PVC gloves when handling. Work coveralls should also be worn to minimize skin contact.
RESPIRATORY: Exterior application generally requires no protection. When product is sprayed in enclosed areas
an approved organic vapour respirator must be worn.
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Not necessary for outdoor use or indoor use where small quantities are applied.
HANDLING STORAGE AND SHIPPING: Keep containers closed when not in use. Handle and open containers
with care. Store in a cool well ventilated place away from incompatible materials. DO NOT handle or store near an
open flame, sources of heat, or sources of ignition.
SPILL CONTROL AND DISPOSAL: Consult an expert on the disposal of recovered material if large quantities are
involved. Prevent spills from entering sewers, water courses or low areas. Recover spilled product by using a suitable
absorbent. Do not use combustible materials such as sawdust. Small quantities of absorbed material can be disposed
of as normal garbage.
SECTION 7 - FIRE AND EXPLOSION DATA

GENERAL HAZARDS: Combustible liquid, may release vapours that form flammable mixtures at or above the
flash point. Toxic gases will form upon combustion.
FIRE FIGHTING: Use water fog, chemical or CO2 to extinguish fire. For indoor fires, fire fighting personnel
should wear respiratory and eye protection. Small outdoor fires do not require the above protection.
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Fumes, smoke and carbon monoxide.

SECTION 8 - REACTIVITY DATA
GENERAL: This product is stable and hazardous polymerization will not occur under normal conditions.
INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS AND CONDITIONS TO AVOID:
Strong oxidizing agents (Peroxides) low and unusually high temperatures.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION: None.
