Chemical Family: Amoxycillin, which is the parahydroxy analogue of ampicillin, is a
member of the broad spectrum amino-penicillin group of antibiotics.
Uses: For treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to amoxycillin
in horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs and cats.

HEALTH HAZARD DATA
HEALTH EFFECTS:
Acute
This antibiotic product is manufactured from semi-synthetic penicillins. It is unlikely to cause
problems in normal use.
Penicillins may cause hypersensitivity (allergy) following injection, inhalation, ingestion or skin
contact. Hypersensitivity to penicillins may lead to cross reactions to cephalosporins and vice versa.
Swelling of the face, lips or eyes or difficulty in breathing are more serious symptoms and require
urgent medical attention
Swallowed Do not handle this product if you know you are sensitised to penicillin
antibiotics, or if you have been advised not to work with such
preparations
Eye Mild eye irritant
Skin Mild irritant 鈥? may cause rashes following skin contact in sensitised
persons. Wash hands after use.
Inhalation Use of this product would not normally cause an inhalation problem.
Chronic
Allergic reactions by sensitised persons to these substances may occasionally be serious.


FIRST AID:
If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre, Phone 13 11 26.
Swallowed Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Seek medical
assistance.
Eye Flush eyes to remove material. Seek medical assistance.
