No adverse health effects expected if this product is handled in
accordance with this Data Sheet.
Possible symptoms of mishandling are:
SWALLOWING:
Can result in gastric upset and nausea.
EYE:
A moderate irritant. May cause watering.

May cause irritation to mucous membranes.
CHRONIC EFFECTS:
Symptoms of poisoning include skin rashes, running
nose, headache and irritation
of the mucous membrane. These symptoms are
synonymous with Iodism.
FIRST AID:
SWALLOWED:
Immediately rinse mouth with water and contact a
doctor or Poisons Information
Centre. If more than 15 minutes from a hospital, induce
vomiting, preferably using
IPECAC syrup APF.
EYE:
Irrigate with clean water or weak saline solution for at
least 15 minutes.

Treat symptomatically for Iodism. Sodium Thiosulphate
is used in the treatment of
chronic ingestion.
