Effects of Exposure: In anima ls, inhalation o f cop per d ust has caused h em olysis o f the red blo od cells, dep osition of he mo fuscin in
the liver and pancreas, and injury to the lung cells; injection of the dust has caused cirrhosis of the liver and pancreas, and a condition
closely resembling hem ochrom atosis or bronzed diabetes (Sax, Dang erous Properties of Industrial Materials, eighth edition).

Acute E ffects:

Inhalation: If inhaled, can cause sneezing, nau sea, weakness, and fever.
Ingestion: Can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Skin : Contact can cause irritation and dermatitis.
Eye: Contact can cause irritation.
