V HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
Effects of Exposure:
To the best of our knowledge the chemical, physical and toxicological properties of europium bromide have not been
thoroughly investigated and reported.
Lanthanons can cause delayed blood clotting leading to hemorrhages. Exposure may also lead to sensitivity to heat, itching,
increased awareness of odor and taste, and liver damage.
Inorgan ic bro mid es m ay produce depression , emaciation, and in severe cases, p sych osis an d m ental d eterioration .
Bromoderma, a bromide rash, often occurs when bromide inhalation or administration is prolonged. This rash is usually found on the
face and resem bles acne and fu runcu losis.

con tainers. Store and handle unde r dry inert gas. Th is produc t is hyg rosco pic. Protect from hum idity an d w ater. W ash thorough ly
after use.
Wo rk Practices: Implement engineering and work practice controls to reduce and maintain concentration of exposure. Handle in a
controlled, inert atmosphere. Minimize exposure by using local exhaust and an enclosing process if/when possible. Use good
housekeeping and sanitation practices. Do not use tobacco or food in work area. Wash thoroughly before eating or smoking. Do not
blow dust off clothing or skin with compressed air. Maintain eyewash capable of sustained flushing, safety drench shower and
