Effects of Exposure:
Inhalation: Sym ptom s include pallor, parox ysm al cou gh, p ain in chest, bron chitis, rales and rhonch i, bron cho spasm s, radio grap hic
reticulation, and tremors of the arms and fingers. Prolonged exposure leads to pulmonary involvement. Serious overexposure may
lead to pulm ona ry ed em a and pneum onia.
Ingestion: Greenish tong ue, m etallic taste, tremo rs, pallor, sore th roat. V anadium is an eq uivtu rmorigenic agen t. Responses to
vanadium exposure are acute, never chronic. Recent reports describe symptoms which are generally restricted to the conjunctiva and
respiratory tracts, with no evidence of disturbances of the G.I. tract, kidneys, blood or CNS.
Skin : Irritation, redn ess, inflamm ation possible. M ay also cause eczem atous type lesions and hives.
Eye: Irritant to conjunctiva. May cause burning sensation , watering, inflamm ation.
