V HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION

Effects of Over Expo sure:

To the best of our knowledge the acute and chronic toxicity of this substance is not fully known. Zinc is generally of low
toxicity. He ated m etal m ay ev olve zinc fu me and oxid e cau sing "Zinc Shakes". Zinc fum es m ay ca use m etal fum e fever. Effects
include dry throat, metallic taste, chest pain, dyspnea, rales and dry cough. Several hours later, chills may occur with lassitude,
malaise, fatigue, head ache, ba ck pain , musc le cram ps, blurred vision, nau sea, fever, perspiration, vo miting a nd leuk ocytosis.

Inhalation: Irritation of upp er respiratory tract, headache, nau sea, vom iting, diarrhea, ch ills, fever, aching m uscles.
Ingestion: Headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, gastrointestinal irritation.
Skin : Prolong ed con tact may cause dermatitis.
Eye: Powder is irritating to eyes.
Target Organs: Respiratory system, lungs, pulmonary system, skin.
Primary Ro utes of Entry: Inhalation, in gestion, skin contact, eye con tact.
Carcino genicity: EPA: No IARC: No NTP: No OSHA: No AC GIH : No

EMERG ENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

INHALATION: Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm, seek immediate medical advice.
INGESTION: Seek me dical treatm ent.
SK IN: Immediately wash with soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Seek immediate medical advice.
EYE: Rinse opened eye fo r several minutes under runn ing water. Then co nsult a doctor.

Ensure adequate ventilation. Carefully sweep up and remove.

Waste Disposal Method: In accord ance w ith Loca l, State and Federal W aste Dispo sal Regu lations.


VIII SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

Respiratory Protection (Specify Type): Particulate respirator if dust or fume is generated.
Ventilation: Use che mical fume hood wh en w orking with po wder or un der du sting con ditions.

Protective Gloves: Proper gloves are recommended.
Eye Protection: Safety go ggles.
Other Protective Equipment: Normal labwear


IX SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storage: Keep container tightly closed. Suitable for any general chemical storage area,
but kee p powdered zinc dry an d aw ay from strong oxidizing m aterials and oth er incom patibilities.
