FIRST AID: Swallowed Do not induce vomiting, as aspiration may occur and cause lung
damage. Give a glass of water. If poisoning occurs, contact a
doctor or Poisons Information Centre.
Eye Flush eye with copious amounts of clean water for 15 minutes.
Skin If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash
skin thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation occurs seek
medical assistance.
Inhalation Move to a well ventilated area. Keep warm and at rest until fully
recovered. If there is respiratory distress or aspiration has
occurred, seek medical treatment.
FIRST AID FACILITIES: Ensure an eye bath and shower are available and ready for use.
ADVICE TO DOCTOR: Treat symptomatically based on judgement of doctor and
individual reactions of patient.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:
Exposure Standards Use in a naturally well ventilated area. No exposure standards
given.
Engineering Controls Use in a naturally well ventilated area or provide general exhaust
ventilation to keep exposure levels to a minimum. Keep
containers closed when not in use.
Personal protection Avoid skin and eye contact and inhalation of vapours. Wear
overalls, eye protection (chemical goggles) and chemical resistant
solvex nitrile glove to standard AN/NZS 2161.2:1998. If ventilation
is not adequate, wear a respirator with organic filter to avoid
breathing vapours in confined spaces. Always wash hands before
smoking, eating, drinking or using the toilet.
Flammability Keep away from heat sources.
Keep away from ignition sources (NO SMOKING)
Vapour is heavier than air and may collect in drains or other low
areas. Electrically ground all drums, transfer vessels, hoses and
piping. Rags or other combustible material wet or soaked in
limonene may autoxidise, generating heat and igniting
spontaneously. Used oily rags should be collected regularly and
either soaked in water or stored in closed metal containers.)
SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION:
Storage and transport Do not weld or cut empty containers. Store in metal can/drum with
lid/bungs tightly closed out of direct sunlight.
Spills and disposals Eliminate all ignition sources (NO SMOKING) Use protective
gloves and avoid skin contact. Ventilate area thoroughly and wear
a respirator if necessary to minimise inhalation. Small spills can
be wiped up. Soak used rags in water. Large spills should be
absorbed by dirt, sand or other suitable absorbents for disposal.
Wash spills with copious amounts of detergent and water. AFTER
TREATMENT DISPOSAL: Contact local waste authority re.
disposing at waste depot.
Fire / Explosion Hazard Liquid can float on water and may possibly travel to distant
locations and/or spread fire. Vapour is heavier than air and may
spread along ground and collect in low areas. Carbon monoxide
and carbon dioxide may be released in a fire involving limonene.
Extinguish fire using dry chemical powder or polymer foam type
extinguishers.
