Warning Statement:
This product is considered to be hazardous by all routes of exposure. European Union information suggests that this
product will be corrosive to eyes, skin and if swallowed. It is also likely to cause sensitisation by skin contact.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Swallowed:
If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. If conscious, give 1 to 2 glasses of water to drink. Seek immediate medical
assistance.

Eye:
If material is splashed into eyes, immediately, flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes, ensuring eye lids are held
open. IMMEDIATELY transport to hospital or doctor.

Skin:
If material is splashed onto the skin, remove any contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
If irritation persists transport to hospital or doctor.

Inhaled:
Move victim to fresh air. Apply resuscitation if victim is not breathing.

First Aid Facilities:
Eye wash fountain, safety shower and normal wash room facilities.

Advice to Doctor:
May cause tissue destruction leading to stricture. If lavage is performed, suggest endotracheal and/or esophgoscopic
control. If burn is present, treat as thermal burn, after decontamination. No specific antidote. Supportive care.
Treatment based on judgment of the doctor in response to reactions of the patient. Excessive exposure may aggravate
pre-existing asthma.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam.
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: If tanks, drums or containers of this material are heated, they may
rupture and project corrosive liquids over a wide area.
HAZARDS FROM COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Under fire conditions, toxic and corrosive fumes are emitted. On
combustion or on thermal decomposition (pyrolysis), there will be a release of oxides of carbon and oxides of nitrogen.
PRECAUTIONS FOR FIRE FIGHTERS AND SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA) required for fire -fighting personnel. If possible to do so safely, shut off fuel to fire. Use
water spray to spray to cool fire-exposed surfaces and to protect personnel.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Emergency Procedures:
Corrosive liquid. DO NOT TOUCH THE SPILL UNLESS WEARING PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Keep
unnecessary people away; Isolate hazard area and deny entry. Ventilate area. Wear suitable protective equipment as
outlined under personal protection in this MSDS.

Methods and Materials for Containment and Clean Up Procedures:
Throw vermiculite or diatomaceous earth onto spill. DO NOT use sawdust. Use non-sparking tools or HEPA vacuum
system to pick up. Place into labelled drum(s) for later disposal.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautions for Safe Handling:
Corrosive liquid. Do not swallow. Avoid eye or skin contact. Provide adequate ventilation.

Conditions for Safe Storage:
Keep containers tightly closed, when not using the product. Store in original packages as approved by manufacturer.
Store in an area that is dry and well-ventilation away from ignition sources. Store below 278 C. Store away from
strong alkalis, acids and oxidizing agents. For further information please refer to the Engineering Controls of this
MSDS.

M BOND CURING AGENT - TYPE 10 is a Combustible (C1) Liquid and must be stored, handled and used
,
according to AS 1940 [Aust]].

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Exposure Standards

[NOHSC] has not assigned any exposure standards for this product.

Engineering Controls
Corrosive liquid. Maintain adequate ventilation at all times. In most circumstances natural ventilation systems are
adequate.

Personal Protection Equipment
GLOVES: The use of neoprene gloves is recommended.
EYES: Chemical goggles or spectacles to protect eyes.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Avoid breathing of vapours. Select and use respirators in accordance with AS/NZS
1715/1716. The use of a combined organic vapour and acid gas vapour respirator fitted with replaceable filters is
recommended. Filter capacity and respirator type depends on exposure levels and type of contaminant. If entering
spaces where the airborne concentration of a contaminant is unknown then the use of a Self-contained breathing
apparatus (SCBA) with positive pressure air supply complying with AS/NZS 1715 / 1716, or any other acceptable
International Standard is recommended.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
CHEMICAL STABILITY:
Stable under normal conditions of use.

INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS:
Acid, oxidizing material, halogenated organic compounds, aldehydes, ketones and acrylates. Mixture with these
materials will result in a temperature and/or pressure increase.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS:
Decomposes on heating emitting oxides of carbon and oxides of nitrogen.

HAZARDOUS REACTIONS:
Will not occur.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS
Swallowed:
Will cause burns to the mouth, mucous membranes, throat, oesophagus and stomach. If sufficient quantities are ingested
(swallowed) death may occur.

Eye:
Will cause burns to the eyes with effects including: Pain, tearing, corneal opacity and if duration of exposure is long
enough, permanent impairment of vision or blindness will occur.

Skin:
Harmful by skin contact. This product will cause sensitisation by skin contact, which may lead to allergic contact
dermatitis. Will cause burns to the skin, with effects including; Redness, localised pain, severe rashes and blistering.
There is also the potential that this product may be absorbed through the skin with resultant toxic effects.

Inhaled:
May cause irritation to the nose, throat and respiratory system. However, this is only anticipated if the product is heated.

Chronic:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact will lead to necrosis (death) of the skin.

Triethylenetetramine:

Oral LD50(rat): 4,340 mg/kg
Dermal LD50(rabbit): 550 - 800 mg/kg

Irritation:

Skin - Standard Draize Test:

Dermal LD50(rabbit): 5 mg/24H;
REACTION: Severe

Eye - Standard Draize Test:
Rabbit(Eyes): 20 mg/24 H;

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
No information is available for this product, however, large quantities should not be discharged to waterways, sewers or
drains.
